Creative Every Day Challenge: March. The theme is Leap, but I’m not following.

 

Yes, I’m so late again. I tried to come up with ideas fitting the theme, but alas, I could not.

So I did this little piece of fanart in honour of the end of the first season of Miraculous. Yes I’m a big girl and  love this show and I blame it all in my sister, who dragged me to this fandom.

Marinette is an aspiring fashionista (when she’s not busy saving Paris), so when I saw this post, I could only think that Marinette would look great in an outfit like this.

I relate so much to this fashionista side of Marinette, because when I was younger I loved to design clothes… well, I still do. 🙂 Being a fashion designer was one of my potential career choices (along with art, graphic design or webdesign). But I ended in engineering. HAHA. So ironic.

Creative Every Day Challenge: Março. O tema é Leap, mas não estou segundo.

Sim, estou atrasada mais uma vez. Eu tentei fazer alguma coisa relacionada ao tema, mas infelizmente não consegui.

Então, estava trabalhando nesse fanart em honra do final da primeira temporada de Miraculous. Sim, sou uma garota crescida que adora esse desenho, e culpo minha irmã que me arrastou para esse fandom.

Marinette é uma aspirante a fashionista (quando ela não está ocupada salvando Paris), então quando eu vi esse post só consegui pensar que Marinette ficaria ótima em uma roupa assim.

Eu me identifico com esse lado fashionista da Marinette, porque quando eu era mais nova, adorava desenhar roupas… bem, eu ainda gosto. 🙂 Ser uma designer de moda era uma das minhas escolhas potenciais para uma futura carreira (junto com arte, design gráfico e web design). Mas acabei na engenharia. HAHA. Irônico.

This year, I’m participating in Creative Every Day Challenge. Each month I’ll post an artwork to go with the theme. This March, the theme is Leap, but I’m not following.

“One of my best paintings: Clarissa among the sunflowers. She got a red flower stuck in her dark hair, and she’s smiling. Behind her, the yellow discs against the metallic blue background, intense and smooth. This is the sunflower’s glorious minute. Because tomorrow they will be crushed, and will walk in the world in the form of oil and forage.” (Saga, Érico Veríssimo, my translation)

This was the inspiration behind the illustration. I did this in the beginning of the month, without great pretensions. So, the month passed in a blink of the eye and this became the illustration for February’s Creative Every Day Challenge. The theme is Love. As I ship Clarissa and Vasco very much, this is my contribution for the fandom. Although I only know one other person in this fandom, which is my sister (who I purposely dragged to Érico Veríssimo’s books.).

Jokes aside, Érico Veríssimo is my favorite brazilian author, and it is not the first time I drew Clarissa.

Essa foi a inspiração por detrás da ilustração. Fiz no início do mês, um esboço no meu caderno, sem grandes pretensões. Daí o mês passou eu um piscar de olhos, e esse virou a ilustração do Creative Every Day de fevereiro. O tema é Love(Amor). Como eu shippo muito Clarissa e Vasco, esta aí a minha contribuição para o fandom. Se bem que só conheço mais uma pessoa nesse fandom, que é a minha irmã (que propositalmente arrastei para os livros do Veríssimo pai).

Brincadeiras à parte, Érico Veríssimo é o meu autor brasileiro favorito, e não é a primeira vez que desenho a Clarissa.
